A multi-faith center for human development, love and service belonging to the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji has been opened in Navua.

In his opening address, President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere said that the reputation of the Sai Prema Foundation precedes it, given the many community service contributions to the poor, disadvantaged and needy people of Fiji through Medicare initiatives, Educare and Sociocare since its official launch in 2016.

Ratu Wiliame says the Foundation’s investments are testimony to this, especially in establishing the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital, a world-class hospital specializing in the treatment of congenital heart disease in children.

He further says that the Human Development Center is part of a global mission of service to humanity and such a center is also present in 12 countries around the world including India, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Sri Lanka, Italy, Turkey and the United States. from America, Argentina, Nigeria, Laos and now Fiji.

Ratu Wiliame adds that these centers are under the aegis of the World Federation of Sai Foundations, which is a non-religious, non-denominational and non-political group promoting harmony by serving humanity.

He also says that these foundations bring together an international community of organizations that share the common goal of alleviating human suffering, promoting environmental responsibility and creating new opportunities for those in need.
