As presenting sponsor of Get Fit for No Kid Hungry, Dole championed influencers hosting live workouts, nutrition and mindfulness sessions all month to raise awareness of the rise in child hunger since COVID. -19, with the ultimate goal of raising funds to support No Kid Hungry’s. working to ensure that every child in America has access to the healthy food they need to thrive. In December, Dole renewed its national alliance with No Kid Hungry, a campaign to end child hunger in America, as its 2022 corporate partner.

Knowing that one in six children in the United States could go hungry this year due to the prolonged effects of the pandemic, Dole is driven to use its platform in partnership with No Kid Hungry to address the crisis,” said William Goldfield, Director of Corporate Communications at Dole. “We know the role fitness plays in a healthy lifestyle and the importance of building healthier habits in 2022 after several difficult years from a mental health, nutrition and exercise perspective. Dole’s sponsorship of Get Fit for No Kid Hungry was part of a larger month of activities encouraging its followers and the public to start 2022 off on the right foot. Items included nutrition and fitness tips and dual-branded activities on social media, web, email and PR throughout January.

GPM, a wholly owned subsidiary of Arko Corp., announced that Texas resident Tarik Jinks is the winner of the 2021 Dr Pepper/GPM College Tuition Giveaway.

The first tuition giveaway ran from September 8 to November 2 and offered a grand prize of $25,000 in college scholarships. Prize money is payable for tuition fees or to repay student loans for eligible costs. It may also cover college or post-secondary vocational institution tuition, including fees, books, supplies, equipment, related educational costs, and on-campus room and board.

“I thought it was a joke when I first heard the news,” Jinks said. “I didn’t know I was going to get this chance the day I walked in, I just participated in the tuition giveaway by the way. I plan to use this money to pay off the student loan debt I have. contracted many years ago.”

To enter, entrants were required to text “LEARN” to 737737 during the Promotion Period. The winner was selected by lottery among participants from GPM stores across the country.

Mirabito convenience stores

Mirabito’s philanthropic arm, Mirabito Cares, donated a total of $84,500 to support a handful of organizations. Funds were raised through employee efforts and customer donations from October to December.

Organizations will receive the following:

  • The Women’s Cancer Foundation — $10,000
  • The Southern Section Veterans Support Group (STVSG) – $35,000
  • Operation Homefront Foundation — $35,000
  • Binghamton Salvation Army — $4,500
