Southwest Detroit Business Association Community Investment Breakfast

The 2022 SDBA Community Investment Breakfast fundraiser celebrates the many flavors of Southwest Detroit’s economic engine.

The Southwest Detroit Business Association (SDBA) will host its 2022 Community Investment Breakfast (CIB) to celebrate the nonprofit organization’s more than 65 years of service to businesses and residents in Southwest Detroit. The annual event will take place from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22 at the Corner Ballpark located at 1680 Michigan Ave. in Detroit. Jason Colthorp, journalist and presenter of WDIV TV 4, will be the master of ceremonies.

This year’s theme – the many flavors of Southwest Detroit’s economic engine – will feature a panel discussion that will address the future of powering Southwest Detroit’s economic engine. Panelists include: Mary Culler, President, Ford Motor Company Fund; David Egner, President and CEO, Ralph C. Wilson Foundation; and RJ King, editor, DBusiness Magazine.

Each year at CIB, the SDBA honors the local businesses and community leaders who help make Southwest Detroit the vibrant and growing community it is today. This year’s award winners have been instrumental in advancing Southwest Detroit and include:
