Mayor Kovach noted that on December 6, 2021, the city held a town hall to discuss future options, and on Monday January 3, the mayor and council approved a professional services agreement with the Nader group.
“This is the architectural firm that we will be working with to determine the location and eventual construction / rehabilitation of our police department,” Kovach said. “As mentioned at our town hall on December 6, Councilor (Ross) Traphagen, Councilor (Megan) Johnson, Police Chief (Cory) Kubinak, Administrator Rich Phelan and I have interviewed five companies that have completed major municipal projects in other communities. “
Kovach said other companies he spoke with included Solutions Architecture, Rodier Ebersberger Architects, Cornerstone Architecture and Rob Conley Architecture. All the companies have had several projects for various municipalities and counties as well as state projects.
“That being said, we felt that the Nader group, located in Hackettstown, were the best choice for Clinton,” Kovach said. “This is the first step among many other steps and many other city halls for the participation of residents.
