Learn more about St. Francis Community Center offerings at Open House

The public is invited to an open house at the St. Francis Community Center in Brant Beach on Sunday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The open house is the first of the center’s 50th anniversary celebrations, located at 4700 Long Beach Boulevard.

The event offers attendees a chance to learn about the center’s services and programs. Light refreshments will be served.

Free lessons and a free swim are among the highlights of the event. There’s even a chance to win a free pool membership. Meet the department managers of the organization that serves Long Beach Island and the adjacent mainland.

The “Gameday Grabs” raffle promises sports-related prizes. Ten percent discount coupons will be available for any of the center’s summer courses.

Founded in 1972, St. Francis Community Center offers a wide variety of services and programs aimed at meeting needs regardless of age, race, gender, nationality, religious affiliation, disability or socio-status. -economic.

Services include a preschool center, senior center, aquatic center, counseling center, family support services, youth program, educational support services, recreation program, volunteer program and many special events. The center has a regulation gymnasium, an indoor competition pool and two heated outdoor pools. —MRS
