Have your say on our community investment funding policy

You are invited to provide feedback on Mornington Peninsula Shire’s draft Community Investment Funding Policy.

The Council’s community investment funding through grants and grants aims to foster and build community involvement, capacity and strength through volunteerism, community programs, projects and partnerships.

The draft policy focuses on improving the transparency, accessibility, equity accountability, and community value of grants, grants, sponsorships, or trusts.

As part of the policy review, the Board is aligning grants, grants and sponsorship funding streams with the three key themes of our Board and 2021 – 2025 Wellness Plan:

  • First theme: a healthy natural environment and well-developed townships.
  • Theme 2: a robust, innovative and diversified economy.
  • Third theme: a thriving, healthy and connected community.

There will be a set of program guidelines for each of the three themes, which will make it easier for applicants to identify suitable opportunities. All applications will now be submitted online through SmartyGrants.

We want to work with our community to help you understand these changes.

Community consultation is currently open and closes June 29, 2022.
