Community Savings Credit Union wins 2022 Business of Good

Vancouver, March 28, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —

(Unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations) BC Business recently announced Community savings bank as the winner of its Business of Good: Workplace Wellness award for its efforts to support employee mental wellbeing, through the development of a comprehensive employee wellness package.

The Community Savings Wellness Program offers a wide range of virtual and in-person initiatives that everyone in the organization can access. The program was designed to support employees in their mental well-being through content such as “The Balance Series” which was curated in conjunction with a licensed clinical counselor, who focused on exploring a number of topics including; time management to reduce stress, confinement and silos and understand stress and burnout. They also hosted resilience training with Lorne Rubis, personal leadership coach and culture expert.

As a way to increase access to mental wellness content and update employees on in-person events; Community savings created the Community College of Savingsa communication and learning platform for employees, designed to meet the development needs and wellbeing goals of the organization.

Community Savings offers a number of other wellness benefits, including resiliency training, a comprehensive health package that includes up to $2,000 per year in counseling or therapy, and unlimited registered massage therapy. The credit union also offers weekly movement and mindfulness sessions, yoga classes and high-intensity interval training.
