Charlottesville, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — The Community Investment Collaborative will hold its 10-year anniversary and entrepreneur meeting this Saturday, Nov. 5 from 5-8 p.m. at Ix Art Park in downtown Charlottesville.

CIC launched its first workshop in 2012, 10 years ago.

Over 500 entrepreneurs have served and nearly $2.5 million in microloans have been granted.

“I’m proud to see all that CIC has accomplished over the past 10 years,” said Sara Clayborne, 2013 CIC Entrepreneur Workshop graduate, co-founder of Charlottesville Ballet and current Chair of the CIC Board of Directors. .

CIC’s list of clients providing services includes Little Manila, Mr. Tahini, The Pie Guy, Vegan Comforts Soul Food, Missy Moodies Sweet Treats, Sliced ​​Cake Bar,

The Go Bar, Harmony Wine, SJ’s Events & Staffing and D’s Pretty Events.

CIC10 will bring together entrepreneurs who have benefited from the program at any time since 2012, with volunteers and community members who have supported the organization during this time.

Nearly 60% of event spending will go to program graduates whose companies are featured at CIC10.
