City opens heated shelter at Federal Way Community Center

The Federal Way Community Center is available to escape the cold temperatures from Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20.






The town of Federal Way is offering residents a place to get relief from low temperatures during the days and evenings this weekend.

The Federal Way Community Center, located at 876 S. 333rd Street, is available as a respite from the weather from Friday, November 18 through Sunday, November 20. Hours of operation weekdays are 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Hours of operation on weekends are Saturdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

During this weekend’s weather forecast, the community center will be open to residents of all ages who need a warm, dry place to visit. Winter hours may vary depending on weather and/or driving conditions. The community is not open for overnight shelter.

Special services are not available free of charge (such as free use of swimming pools, exercise equipment or showers). Individuals can purchase a day pass if they wish to use the facility’s amenities. The Splash Café, located in the main hall, will be open for the purchase of drinks and snacks.

No pets are allowed, with the exception of service animals.
